Founder's Associate (Operations & Automation)
Work directly alongside the CEO: part operator, part builder, part right hand — and own the internal automation stack that lets a small team punch above its weight.
Riga / hybrid · Part-time or full-time · €8–15/hour gross (approx. €580–1,300/month depending on hours)
Spotwise is the agentic operating system for broadcast media, and one of Europe's fastest-growing adtech startups. We give radio, TV, and podcast networks real-time advertising intelligence and autonomous commercial workflows, and in under 18 months we've grown to broadcasters across 14+ countries with double-digit month-on-month growth. We're venture-backed by 500 Global and top Baltic funds including Outlast and BADideas.fund.
Broadcasters use Spotwise to see exactly what is running across their market in real time, find the advertisers they're missing, and automate the commercial work that used to eat their week. Our founders have taken the product into some of the largest media groups in the world, and we're heading into our next funding round.
We're hiring a Founder's Associate to work directly alongside the CEO: part operator, part builder, part right hand.
We're not looking for an assistant
We’re looking for someone who wants to start a company one day and would like a front-row seat first.
This is the closest thing to an apprenticeship in how a venture-backed startup actually runs. You'll sit next to the founder during a live seed round and enterprise deals with global broadcasters, own our internal automation stack, and see what really breaks at an early-stage company. Yes, part of the job is keeping the founder organised and the operation moving. The other part is building the systems that let a small team punch far above its weight. If that trade excites you, keep reading.
What you'll do
- Own our internal automation stack: build and maintain workflows in n8n, Zapier, and similar tools to remove repetitive work across the team.
- Wire our tools together (CRM, email, docs, AI tools) so information flows without anyone copying and pasting.
- Keep the founder organised and effective: inbox, calendar, prep, follow-ups, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Turn messy processes into clean, documented systems the team can rely on.
- Jump on research, ops, and project work as the company scales and priorities shift.
- Sit close to fundraising, sales, and product, and pick up how each one actually works.
Who you are
- You want to build a startup one day and want to learn how first.
- You're tech-savvy and love automating things. You've built with n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar, or you're a fast enough learner that you will soon.
- You use AI tools daily and instinctively reach for them to move faster.
- You're organised, reliable, and take ownership without being chased.
- You're comfortable in the chaos of an early-stage startup and make pragmatic calls.
- You speak and write excellent English.
- You'd rather be close to the action learning a lot than comfortable and bored somewhere bigger.
What we're looking for
- A current student at a strong university, or recent graduate, with an ambitious streak.
- Hands-on interest in no-code and automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, or the willingness to learn them fast).
- Comfort with AI tools and a knack for figuring out new software quickly.
- Strong organisation, clear communication, and genuine reliability.
- Excellent English, written and spoken.
- Bonus: any experience running projects, building side projects, or founding something of your own.
Location and hours
Based in Riga, hybrid. Flexible around a student schedule.
Part-time or full-time. We can work around your studies, with a minimum commitment we'll agree together so the role stays meaningful for both of us.
Compensation
€8–15/hour gross, depending on experience, with room to grow as you take on more. For a part-time student schedule that works out to roughly €580–1,300/month gross depending on hours.
What we offer
- Direct, daily access to the founder and a real seat at an early-stage venture-backed startup.
- A front-row view of a seed raise and enterprise deals with global broadcasters.
- Real ownership of our automation stack, not busywork.
- The chance to learn how a startup is built, from the inside, in a way no internship at a big company can match.
- Flexible hours around your studies.
- Work computer provided.
- A likely springboard for whatever you build or do next.
